In a place like Bend—where kids grow up under big skies, playing hard, learning teamwork, and finding joy in every inning—we depend on dedicated volunteers to keep the league strong. If you want to help shape that experience, consider stepping onto our Board of Directors team! And if you didn't know, if you're on the Board, your child’s regular-season registration fee is covered!
We’re currently seeking volunteers for the following roles:
President
Oversees the affairs of all elements of the League.
Selects and appoints all managers, coaches, umpires, and committees (subject to the approval of the Board).
Officer with whom Little League Headquarters maintains contact.
Represents the League in the District organization. This includes attendance at all district meetings, etc.
Strives to have first-hand knowledge of the regulations under which Little League operates.
Presides at all League meetings and assumes full responsibility for the operation of the League.
Receives all mail, supplies, and other communications from the Little League Headquarters and the District.
Field Officer
Oversees all aspects of BSLL's playing fields.
Determines playing field needs for practices and games.
Presents a field maintenance budget to the Board.
Purchases and supplies all equipment needed to maintain playing fields as approved by the Board.
Manages permitting of all fields through Bend La Pine School District.
Coordinates maintenance days.
Conflict Officer
Manages and directs all aspects of conflicts within BSLL.
Collects witness statements from all parties involved.
Provides summary of conflict to Board.
All-Stars Officer
Oversees all aspects of BSLL’s All-Stars process.
Coordinates paperwork required for player eligibility.
Coordinates lodging and travel needs for tournaments.
